Well im about to have a go at the Record to cross australia coast to coast on a postie, yeah i know its not a klr but its for a good cause.

Hendo and I have donated $ 1000.00 as an an entry fee.

If anyone would like to contribute please mark donations to the R.F.D.S. for tEAM dRONGO so we know how much weve raised.

Here's the little beast .

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/Y2szw4Wa1ug" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/Y2szw4Wa1ug</a>

I'll post the spot link.... and pic's of the conversion to quad tyres that will let us go straight across via Wlkers crossing then Warburton road across the WAA line to the french line then mt dare, when we get closer to the start at midnight June 10th  from Byron Bay.

I have a ute and a driver for most of the trip as backup, but as yet havent been able to find someone who is interested in either doing the Simpson part ( 4 x4 only ) or the lot.

Im hopeing for a lot bettter than 8 days if any one is interested or know anyone who would like to do it..

I can cover fuel etc for your veichle.

What have you done to the postie Holy smokes!?

I'd love to do the desert bit, but the poor old ute would struggle as its' power to weight ratio would make the Postie look like a rocket ship.

When were you looking at going?

If you don't have a tank, I have an approx 8 litre XR250 one you can use? Straight off my old postie, with the mounting stuff I used and petcock etc.

Good luck.

Love the big tyres - reminds me of the TW (26x8x14 rear)! What size are they?

The tyres are good on sand in terms of traction, but lack the power to get 'on top' of the sand, still it's all good fun.  thumb

And I would have thought they would have gone due west puzzled.

What was Ozzy's great offence at ADV? He has always struck me as an easy going bloke, although with Mod baiting tendencies.
