Just wondering if anyone has dealt with a Vicious Cycle in New Dundee.
How the service was etc...
Looking to buy some items but want to be sure they are a good business.Been shafted too many times by other mail order places.

I have ordered from them a couple of times. Seemed good to me. Shipped to Alberta, no problem.

I've bought from them a couple of times as well. Service has always been good, particularly over the phone. The only issue I've had was with one order that had an item on back order and I wasn't notified.

I have dealt with them several times. Very good knowledgeable prompt service. I esp like the fact that you can "track" your parts on-line via the Post Office website.

I've spent $1000's with them by now, and they are always good.
I did try to buy spare clutch levers for my '08, and now have a small collection (2) of pre '08's , which won't fit.
It's not worth sending them back, but other than that, they have always been great (and efficient) to deal with

I have never ordered from them because motorcycle superstore and bike bandit has always beat their lowest price by a pretty big margin.

A Vicious Cycle is in Canada so I'm sure that's the main reason for the price difference. Also Canadians get hammered with major importation(?) fees when stuff is shipped to them from the US.

your soo right slo... even if duties and cdn tax were not a factor... the free shipping you folks enjoy does not extend across the border. For me..the shipping costs usually are the deal breaker.

For Canadians I think AVC is the place to shop for dual sports. I have visited them a few times, and the people working actually know what they are selling, which is unusual these days, and the prices can't be beat.

I have made several purchases from Eric and his crew. They know the products that they sell and will tell you immediately if it is in stock or not. Very fast to ship product.

Actually the difference is not that much really. I just ordered a set of SW Motech crash bars for a guy in England as SW Motech has discontinued selling KLR stuff in Europe
. It would still cost me more in tolls and gas to drive to Niagara Falls US to pick up an order shipped from Twisted Throttle, and I'd still have to pirate
them across the border and pray I didn't get nicked for taxes to break even buying them from AV in Canada. AV doesn't really mark up the stuff from the US at all. I have found them a good place to buy not just KLR farkles but for other makes and models as well. Just my HO

+1 on AVC. Have never really had any problems with Eric at all. Fast shipping, knowledgable and the price is pretty much the same as TT without the shipping. Shipping cost from AVC to Ontario is cheaper than from TT to Ontario. Of course it is only and hour from me so usually take a trip every so often to pick stuff up.

I'll add my pennie's worth too.....excellent and I send everyone I know to them on this side of the border. There really isn't a dual sport store that compares to them in Canada....IMHO!

Sad, no ... Happy to say ... I prefer cross border shopping ... I get to nail two birds with one stone ... have parts sent to a US address, and then go visit my Merican amigo. I get raped on prices in Canada and can not really support the "keep the dollars in Cdn hands" concept, which is mostly BS ... the parts and apparel are made offshore, the major distributors are south of the border, so who really ends up with the lions share of my purchase $$'s... beside the ridiculous Cdn taxes ??
They are my bucks and I like to stretch them. eg: Bike Bandit just gave me a $50.00 gift card (incentive from purchasing a GoPro at nearly 50% off), then when I found a piece of gear for $50.00 or so less at another online retailer in the US .. Bike B matched it, and then discounted it the value of the gift card and then deducted some more for "Bandit Bucks" I accumulated. Ever here of a local (Cdn) parts and apparel supplier cut you a deal like that. Total shipping ends up around $8.00 cdn ... sorry to say that the last time I priced a primary sprocket and chain at AVicCycle .... the shipping alone was more than the value of the parts..... ouch.
