Learning the Ropes of the Forum

New to the forum and have a couple of questions concerning navigating my way around.
1. How do you list ALL unread threads. When I click on "Show unread posts" or the graphics of the motorcycles in the top right corner, I only get about 10 or 11 topics. Never more. Is there a limit to displaying un read topics.
2. Is there a way to subscribe to a thread to keep track of it other than notifing through email of additional posts, or posting on that thread. In my former forum experience, there was a "subscribed threads" link that would show them all.
Think that is it for now. Just trying to get comfortable......

Hi Cunuck... welcome to the forum
. there is a notify tab in the right hand side of the post screen {beside reply and print}that allows you to be notified when a thread of interest is modified. I am sure you will find this site very helpful through both posts and scores of veteran KLR owners.

Think I have that part figured out, and I can see the notificaions in my User CP, but is there a way to NOT be notified by email of changes or posts....maybe I missed something....Is there a place that just has a list of all your subscribed threads with information pertaining to new posts on those threads.

I thought I'd join you and test out the KLR waters in the rest of the world.
So far, so good. The smiley collection is the bomb.
We'll just let "G"
for awhile until some one

RBR...great to see you join the darkside with me. So far so good..... no
Finally figured out how the subscribe threads work here so I am good to go with that. Only thing remaining is not sure how the New Posts work. When I try to list ALL unread posts, I still only get 10 even though there are several more. Is it limited to 10 only on this forum.....

To view all topics that have replies that you have not seen, click to row of bikes at the top right of the forum header -
Right before you leave the forums, select it again and then click the "Mark all messages read" button.
Then when you return, click the bikes again and you will see everything with new posts listed.
The lis isn't limited to 10 BTW - hope this helps.

HONDO you are the man
It was going to drive Canuck crazy until he figured it out....... or someone like you told him how.
Seriously though, great site and very friendly to the technodreeb crowd like myself.
