OK..its kinda lonesome biking in northern Ontario. Especially after the end of October when most riders put their bikes away for the winter. The little town of Chapleau has some great dual sport riding opportunities in case anyone is looking for a new destination. Nice to be here.

Just Registered and counting my pennies for a new 08.....

My wife is scared silly.......anyone have any wife-soothing techniques.... here's the violin music...

Close to Windsor Ontario! It's like the Fall will never end......I wish I bought earlier this summer so I could be  taking advantage of the weather........

yeah, don't let her read any of my posts from back over the summer  Too funny!

actually though, my wife, the gorgeous and oh so cool Mrs.Gunny can always tell when I've had the bike out, I'm calmer, more relaxed and generally at peace with the world, a great way to unwind. She will see the difference, trust me.

Thanks for the advice gentlemen.....

It's a work in progress though.........looking forward to more advice as the saga continues....

Sorry about the corny name......I was kind of being sarcastic because I have not been ACTION MAN when it comes to pulling the trigger on a bike purchase....

Can you change your handle?....You know ...like if I become KLR ridin man

Any of you guys up for organizing a southern Ontario Tech day?

I'm at the point of doing the doo and want to doo it with you.

let me know. I am very competent mechanically, but would appreciate the experience from those who have done the operation.

I'm a -maybe- for the KLR meet in Mindin. If the weather holds, I may just ride down and camp over night somewhere. My problem is that I have double, and even triple, booked most of my weekends until the end of the Fall... and now I have to prioritize what I will be doing. So little time and so much to do.  WTF?

Where abouts are you???

You gatta go to the Meet!!!

There seems to be a good deal of interest for it and the more the better. Plus I have a descent trail that connects 2 secondary roads to run.

If you are close..i have done 2 Doo's that I can remember...and have all the tools required.

I'm in Hamilton, but willing to ride up to where you are if you are willing lend some expertise and tools. I will order the EM doo and spring. I'll let you know closer to the time and we can arrange to meet. Plus, I need an excuse to go riding from this stink pit.

As for the meet, its looking a bit iffy, but I will try to go! I would love to meet fellow KiLRers.

Johnny, I'm just up hwy 4 in Lucan.  We'll have to get together for some back roads up along Lake Huron.  I'm originally from Owen Sound so I know the Bruce quite well.  I used to run along the Bay on the east side from Wiarton up to the "Tub" when I had the sport bike.  The KLR would do well on the secondary roads....we're going to have to plan something.

Hi! Tim, it's a pleasure to hear from ya! Yes you know the bruce real well, Iv'e been going up there for some twenty five years now, and the bay side is great, one main reason I bought the KLR, lots of cement and dirt, like forty hills road.Ha! It's good around the sauble area to,especially in the summer, lol. I've picked up my bike from Rob, at Inglis last wednesday and they say to keep it under 4,000 rpm for 500 klics and then 6,000 rpm for 1200klics.Sounds like babying it doesn't it but don't want problems in the future. Yes ,luv to hear from local riders and definately will hook up in the near future. A few good events happening in the collingwood area this year. Take care Tim.

Well.....what can I say???   It was an outstanding success..IMHO!!!
13 KLRs showed up for an unforgetable weekend!
The trails were good and the twisties even better not to gorget the scenery....fantastic! wings
We had a great group fo guys and one gal and we all hit it off great, something that doesn't always happen. It was a great site to see 13 KLRs riding in single file through the backroads through the twisties. We up here don't get to see many KLRs in one place at one time very often. To have 13...! What can I say???  Fantastic!
A special thanks go to the people who helped out especially Jazzdog who lead a group saturday afternoon to the eagle's nest and they even had the thrill of seeing a family of bears to boot!
I can now put a face to the names on the boards and it makes it that more enjoyable to be a member of this group of guys.
I can only say....wait untill next time...we have an even better one in the planning already!

So...come one come all...keep your eyes open and pencil it in once we get a date.....you won't want to miss the next one for sure!

 Cheers!
