I've got a question or two... When is he coming to the Pacific Northwest to install the 705 kit (that he's bringing with, of course)?
Seriously, though.. very nice bike. Where's the flux capacitor go?
Oh, and what does SSAT stand for?

theres no discription of the front wheel swap. thats a 17 or 18" rim right? I like the idea, how can it be done economically?

That's an 18" front wheel-
I believe that there are some threads covering this in the Wheels forum.
here's the info that The Patman has at the KLRWorld.com page regarding the wheel-
Quote
I used a KX500 MX rear rim and it's heavy duty spokes laced to the stock hub to obtain a bigger footprint both for the street, and the soft stuff as well.

Nice bike! You are running rear tires on both rims? How's that work on the pavement and on the trail?

Patman, I saw someone do that years ago on a Yamaha DT-1 enduro (when they were new!). The idea was to get more flotation in the sand. It looked unusual but i never did hear how it worked and have always had the image of that bike in my head. Have you had yours in deep sand?

Deep sand? All the time, and yes, it scoots right along and yes, that's why I did it... to spread out the 414 lbs into a larger footprint. I wrote a piece on it somewhere...

I really like the idea of doing this. If for not other reason, it just looks kewl!
Anyone know where I can get the parts?
