I'm not really happy with my Supertrapp. I wonder if they have an E2 to fit the 250 (?).

Just got back from a 40 mile ride around town and on the freeway. This is the best money I've spent so far, everything everybody has said so far is true. Beter throtle response, way smother on/off throtle transitions, less vibration, cooler runing, sweet looking, stronger pull from around 2800 rpm on up, great sound without being to loud, and most of all, the fun factor just went way up!!!!
I havent changed the jeting yet, from the way I had it set befor.
snorkle removed
fuel screw 2 1/2 turns out
3 shims under the needle
stock pilot and main jet
It runs great with no hesitation, but was on the lean side befor the pipe and can only be worse now. Thats OK though because it only means thiers more good to come with proper jeting.
I curently have the L mod pluged up (to lean), when I jet it I'll open the L mod back up.

Good Morning!
First, I'd like to say that I really really enjoy this web site. I've learned alot here. However my wife thinks that you all have too much influence over me because I read about a product on the site and then go out and buy said product. She thinks I don't NEED anything else for my 07 KLR 650. Oh well....
But my point here is that I received my E2 exhaust this past Friday, installed it on the bike and noticed that the threaded screw hole on the standard competition end cap was off .0625", and I was not able to secure it onto the muffler can with the end cap screw. This morning I called White Bros. spoke with Josh and told him I'd send the defective end cap back for an exhange. He was very nice about the whole thing and said no need to do that, he would just send me a new end cap.
Conclusion: The people at White Bros. take care of their customers and I am glad that I bought the E2. It sounds great, and by the way I asked him about the smaller diameter end caps. He said they should help with low end torque.
Thanks for listening,
Jim Anderson

Hi Hondo,
No I didn't, I tried to keep the conversation short, I was at work when I made the call, not that I would get in trouble, but I'm a truck driver and I was in the middle of traffic when we talked.

I still don't get why a muffler for my KLR is more expensive then the entire Exhaust system from the turbo all the way back on my diesel truck.

I put the E2 on my 07 KLR and after 400 miles with the new pipe on,that was alot of money for the 1 or 2 H.P. gain. TPI said that after I do the carb mod. I will notice more HP. We will see.

Another thing you should remember is the thing is going to need to be re-packed from time to time. Josh said about 1500 mi. to keep the original sound levels, and performance.
Which reminds me, I need to do this.
A tip from Josh, at WB, take a plastic soda bottle, and cut off the top, slide the plastic piece over the core, then slide the replacement packing sleeve over the bottle top to keep it from snagging. Either that, or you can cut the packing/sleeve open and wrap around core.
