So about a month ago I picked this up  Awesome

Loving it so much that the poor KLR is getting very little seat time and is for sale  Sad

Have not had the chance to go on any really long runs yet, but after a 2hr ride I was still very comfortable on the bike.  Think it would be a great iron butt bike.

Can't argue with that - my KLR has been rock solid reliable and has never let me down, but I'd like to have something smaller for the offroad stuff.

LOL.  The Uly's do have their (mostly minor)issues too, but one of the really nice things about it is that Buell seems to pay attention to those, and has made upgrades or revisions to address those issues each year.

I doubt there's a bike out there that's perfect off the showroom floor... upgrading is half the fun!

It's a fine Uly, congrats!

If you're missing the KLR, we can trade.  That's funny !

Nice! I too have wanted my own cannon since forever! Drool... That would keep those neighbor cats off the cars.

Looks like nice setup! Have always been curious about the Uly's but never had chance to test ride one. Does it compare to anything else you've ridden?

Very...very  nice bike. I also have a Buell and another that I bought a month or so ago. The KLR is the most versatile and adaptable....it aint leaving no time soon.

Completely different from other bikes I've ridden.  LOTS of torque and horsepower, choppy idle like a Harley, corners like it's on rails, stock seat is comfortable for long distances.  wings

That's funny !  Still have my KLR, at least for now.  Decided I would just keep it unless I get a reasonable offer on it.  It's too good a bike to just give it away.

Lucky you!! One of the best questions in the world is "What bike am I going to ride today?".

How many times have you had to re-tighten the plactics already joker

Like the KLR isn't a rattle trap either.

Congrats! I like those Ullyses alot. I haven't ridden one, but a  friend has another Buell I  have ridden several times. I  got a  V-Strom back in August and put my KLR up for sale thinking I would never want to  ride it. Luckily, I  came to my senses before it sold. Now that the V  was totalled by an ass-hat in a truck, I will still have something to ride once my ankle is healed up more.

Sorry about your Strom - I like them too, but something about the Buell just spoke to me ( or more like wouldn't stop screaming at me until I bought it  That's funny ! ).  Hope his insurance pays out well and you can replace the bike soon.

His insurance will. He was at fault and was cited. I looked at those Buells for about 2 years so I know what you mean. Could be my next bike if the Strom can't be fixed once they total it out. I might get an update from you when I am ready to buy. Go to the first page of Stablemates and you will see why this V Strom was screaming at me. I wasn't even looking for another bike when I bought it
