New to the pages and groups.  Hope I've followed the protocols by posting my own topic.

Live in Wasaga Beach and checking to see if there is any interest in anyone coming through here next year.

I've been on some interesting roads around the Collingwood/Blue Mountain area but I'm sure there are a lot more back roads and forest roads I've never seen.  It would be great to have a local lead a ride.  I'm up for a ride in your area anytime next summer.

The Bruce Peninsula is a really good ride up through Wiarton to Tobermory.  One particularly twisty road along the East shore near Cape Croker.  Any of you guys heard of Skinner's Bluff?  AMAZING!!!!!

The Bruce Peninsula is mostly secondary paved and gravel roads...lots of water, shore line and Lake  Huron on one side and Georgian Bay on the other.  Really dramatic  drops and rock formations on the East side overlooking Georgian Bay.  The water is clear enough near Tobermory that it's gin clean down at least 100 feet or more....hard to believe till you see it.

On one of my first ever bike trips I took the boat from Tobermory to Manitoulin Is., the largest fresh water island in the world. The year was 1972 and the bike was a Suzuki T-500 Titan. Been back several times since. Great place with great people.

Yes the waters of Georgian Bay are a tad chilly about now.....even in the blazing heat of summer I can remember swimming in the bay,on the west side, and the water was still cold enough to make you want to puke....yeah that cold.

Hang on boys...spring is coming!!!

Been looking around, since I was hoping just to tag along but it looks like some people want me to gather info.  I looked into some light rides in the area.
Up one coast and down the other, quite a long trek for our first time out.  However, there are quite a few water falls in the area, all within say 150kms of one another.  I'll will put a date around may 15th as a starter/intro trip.  Nothing big maybe 100kms around the Bay area just to try it all out.  I know that type of trip isn't worth it for people traveling in a fair way but it's a start.

Any takers?

Well the time has come! Ride on!

How does May 15 work for everyone?

I was thinking of meeting at (Sunnidale Corners)  Intersection of County Rd 10 and Hwy 26.  At the gas station.  How does 1100hrs sound? If that's to early we can adjust.

My idea is to leave the gas bar and head to Eugenia Falls (60kms) do the look around stuff, few pictures  pics yada yada yada then on to Hoggs falls (30kms) yada yada yada then back into the beach.

So like I said before not a long ride at all, but for the few that look interested it's a nice starter. Just an afternoon out.

I notice no one has pictures of their kids on these rides, I will more than likely bring my oldest daughter with me and my wife on her XT225.   So family is always welcome and the speed average will be tame, it's back road most of the way anyway.  So if smaller bikes want in PLEASE FEEL FREE!

If the weather looks not so great I'll post the night before if we still intend to go or not.  For me I could care less about rain but that's just me. I'm cruizin'

Let me know!

Just make sure you take lots of pics and find those far off the beaten path places so we can explore later. Maybe I can make it neat time.

I'm going to ride the route next Saturday, temperature dropped this weekend and map it out.  Look for a nice route.
Basically (on your map)  we will head south the west then north then east.  smoking
I know that sounds funny but it is true.  The falls are south of Sunnidayle Corners, the next are west.  After the falls I want to head to water and come back along the shoreline of the bay.  Down on 26 into Wasaga Beach.

Took a ride out to the falls today.  Haven't got a prefered route yet but it's great views all over the area.
Here is a few pics from today.
