Recalls in Canada

Reading other topics and there is lake about recalls. When i go to the Kawasaki site and put in my V.I.N. it does not find it. How do we check for recalls in Canada?

I bought mine (2009) new and received in the mail the paperwork to report to my dealer for him to fix these recall (exhaust bolt and wire thingy)

Which he did without any question ...

So if you bought new, it should be the same process ...

I got 08 in October with 5000 km on it, I guess I will have to stop by a dealer there are none realy that close to me.

Any Canadian dealer can check on the recall status of your KLR for you, some
may not want to. In any event you can contact Kawasaki Canada with your
17 digit VIN and they can tell you if your KLR has any outstanding recalls.

What about the person you got it from?  Did you ask them?

I called even after my guy said they had been done.  Took like 10 mins in the phone with Kawa.
