Top Speed of Versys??

What is the realistic top- speed of this  bike-I am looking and it is not the most important thing -just wondering if anyone has run  a stock oneup with a
GPS to clock it--on  a private test track of course.???

Tested by Motorcycle Consumer News, the best MC mag out there, 11/07, measured top speed 117 MPH, 1/4 mile in 12.96 sec. @ 99.15 MPH.
Also;
                          1/4 mile ET, Speed   Top Speed
Ninja 650R, 5/06,   11.17 @ 106.04,       126  
Ninja 650R, 5/07    12.11 @ 107.30,       129
ER-6n        8/09    12.36 @ 104.70,       128.8

The 11.17 ET is a very definite misprint, maybe 12.17???

I've Had mine at 105 after a roll on from 70 on the highway. Still had some left but that was fast enough for me. I've also surprised a few Harley Buddies during a Intersection Takeoff and they couldn't pass me until I hit the 3 digits ! Love My V Beast.

I have had mine up to 115 with my wife on back. 350lbs between the two of us. I may have gotten 120 but I have my doubts. I have never felt it was under powered by any means. And My other bike is a ZRX. I let my son talk me out of the Versys and I now have my KLR back. At 35 horses I still am crazy about the KLR. :)

I meant to say that was GPS mph also. Although I did switch to the 16 tooth set up and the speedo is almost perfect. Maybe a half MPH fast.

Seems plenty fast for me-I also have the dreaded motorcycle stealing kids to deal with--they will make you crazy!!
