Just wanted to get some input on a good, "affordable" MX helmet, probably around 100 bucks. I can use goggles and a wolfsnout with, for DS rides and Moab.
The main problem with my street helmet is that the dust gets in the hinges for the face shield and it gets very hard to move up and down, plus having to breath all the dust.

I have a HJC CLX-5 fuel it is a great helmet and can be had in that price range if you catch it on sale. It is fairly light and fits methe best I have found bu that is me. Hace you looked into one of the DS helmets.

I would suggest HJC. They make really nice motocross helmets and are affordably priced. I own 3 HJC off-road helmets.

Nibis...Just my opinion, but I think fit and comfort should be # 1 when selecting a helmet.
Fit 1st of all...it has to feel right. forehead, cheeks, strap location, and even  the weight distribution front to back.
Comfort is more the overall weight.

I went into the dealership all prepared to spend a few hundred dollars on a helmet with a full mask in the front and the one I walked out with was half the price. It was the one that fit my square head.
I think too much value is put on the "look cool" or "whats in style".
I usually wear a MX helmet (never looked at the brand but it has a DOT sticker) and a pair of yellow glasses OR...the new one since it is cold is a Scorpion "something" with a clear faceshield and yellow under as well.
Both of them have scratches.
I just can't order something and hope it fits, just my opinion.
