Any input on either the Powercore 4 or Q4 mufflers? FMF is having a 20% off sale this month on ALL their 4-stroke mufflers, and was wondering if they are worth it. I'm looking at getting a slip-on version for my '06 KLR. thx!    Ride on!

I have a Titanium 4 (Ti version of the powercore) with powerbomb header on my DRZ400SM. Its way too loud, for my tastes, even with the quiet core insert. And yes I ride with earplugs.

IMHO, KLR's just don't sound very pleasing no matter what you do to them. Making them louder is not an improvement and its pretty well documented that exhaust mods don't help performance. Get over it.  Put some earplugs in and ride the bike.

Really???  Where is it documented at?  The White Brothers (Vance&Hines) made very respectable power gains.  The trade off is ya got to hear the extra noise.

Any inputs on the Q4 vs. powercore 4? For the slip-ons, do I need to jet or mess around with settings on the carb? Thanks!

Either exhaust I'm sure you'll need to make some minor carb adjustments.  If sound is an issue the Q-4 will be the better choice.
