HMY4 Sierras Ride

Howdy all, went for a cruise up Hwy 4 yesterday. Took some pics and thought I would share them with you. I finished Honeydoo list and went for it!! I left at 10:00 AM and returned at 5:00 PM. I clocked 212 Miles , stopped for a awesome Crabmeat quesadilla in Columbia at El Jardine Cafe.
It was beautiful once I got above the smoke from these 1000+ fires in the state. My longest trip so far and when I get my Doo and subframe upgrades finished there will be alot more to come

Great looking KLR! I love the Highway 4 area, it's my favorite place in the world. Looks like you had a fun ride.

Yes, I think that would be a great ride. A couple weeks ago 4 of us on KLRs rode from Angels Camp up to 88, 88 over Carson pass, then south through Markleeville, then Highway 4 over Ebbetts pass and on back to Angels Camp. It was something like 196 miles, beautiful all the way.

Higgie, great photos a nice propsed ride. W had discussed a similar ride though it was over Sonora Pass to 395. Either way it would be beautiful escpecially since the smoke is thinning. Let me know when you want to do that ride, I'm in!

That would be great!!! We will have to plan something soon. I gotta do the doo and subframe then get the weekend off. When the upgrades get done I will start a post and we WILL get a ride going up to God's country
I will have to see if we can get some of those Central Coast boys over here to meet, greet and ride
