Greetings  Awesome

Steve here from West Wiltshire. I have a 1997 KLR250 amongst my collection of two wheeled 'projects' which I use purely for legal trail riding. I have owned it for three and a half years and it has proven itself to be a very reliable and robust tool for the job. Far better than the few test reports I have found, would have people believe.

The only 'upgrades' I have had to do during my ownership is to get the rear wheel re-spoked, and a new rim on the front, as it started to crack on the seam. I put this requirement down to the enthusiastic use by the bikes first owner.........The Royal Artillery Flying Gunners Display Team! Mr Kawasaki should have told them it was not designed to jump over burning tanks, six up!!

Cheers  Cheers!

Surely you've got mountain twisties in Canada ?

I live in Wales so I got more twisties than anywhere else in the UK  thumb

Augh...I feel you have never been here yet??? Well not to my neck of the woods.LOL!!
I live in Ontario, just above Toronto.  Yes there is twisties in the mountains...but, they are 4 days away from me!!  lol

You just don't know what you are driving on untill it's not there for you any more!!!
The small 1 1/2  car width country lanes where I used to play don't exist over here! If it gets to a 2 lane road you are lucky...none of the good old hedge banked twisty lanes I enjoyed while living over there. All roads are made as straight as humanly possible...so that when you fall asleep at the wheel you won't fall off the tarmac!!!
But after going back twice , once last year and again in Nov this year...I have to say...I couldn't live there any more!!  Sad  There are just too many people and cars flying around the roads ...nothing like it was in the 80's... I'm cruizin'

What a shame!!! ...I do miss the old country...so much, that I am in the process of building an English style pub in my basement!!!!

Saying hello from Surrey, new-to-me '94 KLX 650 C being collected this Tuesday after MOT tomorrow - can't wait.  Look forward to maybe seeing some of you from the UK around Box Hill, Newlands Corner or Bury Hill maybe.

Rest of my gibberish intro is here:  http://klrworld.com/forums/index.php/topic,11415.0.html

Hi, just joined site and live in Cleveland, North East, had my klr C7 for about 2 months, never ridden it yet as needs a bit of work to get back on the  road so hopefully should be finished in a couple of weeks, looking forward to it.
