New projects
« on: September 20, 2015, 10:51:33 AM »
A few months ago I bought a Yamaha Warrior. Really like the cruiser, have done a lot of intake and exhaust work, reflashed the ECU for performance, integrated tail light, etc. Then a few days ago I saw a Yamaha JT2 for sale on Craigslist. I grew up on the JT1 and just had to have it. It had been sitting in a barn for who knows how many decades but with some new points, cleaning out the carb and some coaxing I got it running. In the process of rebuilding the top end and lots of cosmetic stuff to restore it. The grandson is looking at it with stars in his eyes.... I hope it brings him as many wonderful memories as mine did for me.
So here is a picture of the two, Yamaha's largest displacement bike along with the smallest...

nice... can almost relive the initial bike passion through your grandson's energy... The big Yamaha will be a easy choice for extended slab.. still have the black widow?

Edit: hope you get to post a picture of the new rider twisting the throttle  :thumb:

He should love it. I recall my little Honda 70. I would ride all day if I could.
