I ordered a Ricochet skid plate for my 2004 KLR 250 from D.H. Gibbs and Co. on a monday and recieved in good shape on the following Monday.Install was very straight forward with removal of old oem plate and install of new.Total time including taking pictures 15 minutes. The new plate is very well built and covers all vital areas.Three allen head bolts attach with one in front and the two rear with clamps.Locking nuts are welded to the inside bottom of plate for easy install and they will stay put.Shield is very strong could not bend by hand or dent with hammer.Price was 82.95 plus 7.99 freight.Quality a 10,shipping fast a 10,price a 7,ease of install a 10.I really shouldn't complain about price cause it will save the engine case !

I will translate this message for the common viewers who are not familiar with Fireplug."Marty put my springs in for me this past week while I sat on my ass". Too funny!

In all honesty, Fireplug did the work, I did the guiding as I sat in my chair!

Just ordered one & it should be here in a couple of days, that thing is a beast & well worth the investment if you do any off roading as i look at it as a helmet for your engine... Which do you want when you fall off your bike a brain bucket or a full face??

Yeah those plates are built heavy, a comforting upgrade from the stock equipment. I got a black one, so all the damage stands out!

Just installed my progressive springs this past week at the Marty's.

I also have the Ricochet skid plate too.  Just wondering how you guys like your progressive springs?
