Thanks for the tip. It is on my list to purchase.

Now what vessel is used to heat the water. Currently I don't have any small / light cooking gear to take camping.
just a suggestion here about what to buy, not where to buy it, that has been covered & this is just my opinion. don't buy stainless, it takes too many btu's to heat up water. titanium is way to $$$. anodized & teflon coated aluminum is the easiest to clean, least expensive & most efficient at turning btu's into coffee.

+1 above.

And if you have the choice, I'd recommend going anodized over teflon...
Teflon variety campware usually peel off after one overheating accident and even from just letting water sit too long.
I've had that happen to two MSR Blacklite pots.

By the way, MSR makes an anodized aluminum pot--that is also coated with Teflon.
Jetboil and Primus and Tangia make just anodized Al pots.

I learn something every time I get on this site! I found a moka pot at a thrift store in 99 and have been using it ever since for camping trips. Guess I need to start using it in the house too! Best $2.00 I ever spent for a camping coffee maker.

I'm a coffee geek, and I know it's still "instant", but the new Via/Starbucks instant is pretty darn good.

Of course everything tastes good when you roll out of your sleeping bag, smell the crisp/fresh air and brew something up on the campstove.

YAH!  Technically real espresso!  I've been using one primarily for a little over a year now.  The paper filters are reusable after a gentle cleaning.  Reminds me of a breast pump.  Americano everytime.

Big thumbs up on the Aeropress!!  Awesome Awesome  I have been using mine exclusively for two years now, and I will never use anything else at home or while camping.
