Title: She's Husqy but I like her
Post by: ajeli on June 15, 2014, 09:38:54 PM
I'm here, i'm here! I figured I'd get a new bike for the new forum
Trying out the photo sharing thing. It only took about 6 modifications to get the pictures to show up.  :thumb:

It's a 2009 Husqvarna TE510. This bike is crazy fun.

Very nice! What kind of range do you get on that tank? Hard to tell, but it looks small enough I'd have to stop for gas on the way out of my driveway... but it'd be a hell of a ride doing it!  :thumb:

I was able to coast (literally) into the gas station after about 80ish miles.
The next day I filled up at 45 miles so I could keep shreddin.
A bigger gas tank is the one thing this bike needs.
That bike is so completely different from a KLR, it's crazy. I was doing trails I would never try on a KLR.

Jim, it would be an honor brotha.

Well... That didn't last long.
A kid at work begged and pleaded for me to sell the Husqy to him until I broke.
The deal? His bike and a fist full of cash for the TE.
We're both happy.
Now I own a DRZ 400 and have fatter pockets.

looks to be in good shape... you've been turning your biking world upside down with all the different bikes to play on.. biggest thing is not to turn on to an epic goat path,,then .. brakes.... "dang i'm on the wrong bike"

enjoy the ride!

I feel that's one of the best duel purpose bikes out there! Nice score...  :thumb:

I think it's more my style anyways.
I found myself going really fast on that TE.
You'd be amazed how smooth 92 feels in the dirt with the right suspension.  :bugey:
I haven't gotten to really ride the DRZ hard yet but I'm looking forward to it.
