Sept 18,19&20 Downunder / Adv mag congregation

Here are a few pics and words from last weekends ride

Day one

Got outa town before 3 and the school rush
The weather ahead was not looking too favorable

It started to improve

Before to long it was behind me

Some one with too much time on their hands

With the weather improving and knowing that i would comfortably make my destination
It was time for a little detour

Over the border

Home for the night

Day two

Started out a bit quiet

But things soon picked up

After a short explanation of what lay ahead, we were off
There were 32 bikes in total

The road ahead and behind was dusty and didn't take long the distance between first and last grew substantially

The pack split in two here for those opting for something a little more challenging

I opted for the less challenging

Brick flue at the Ottery arsenic mine near Emmaville

Regroup at Emmaville

And again somewhere else

Before too long we were at our destination
Moredon Ponds

Day three

A few pics from around the campground
There were 260 bike in total.
Some could be heard getting away before crawled out of bed.

Moredon was originally the site for a dam which was built to supply water to the nearby mining town of Tingha
Tin was discovered there in 1841

The site has since been divided into a group of smaller ponds and used to farm fish

Back on the road again

Over the border at Texas

The ride home came sometimes be a bit of a drag
I lucky to sport a few locals along the way to help break the monotony

found some new dirt

Getting closer to home.

Until next time
