Pant & boot advice for tropics

Oh great learned ones.....
I'm new to this whole biking thing ( 4 months ) and am just getting started offroad. I have good gloves, multi-season jacket, good road pants ( kevlar ) but am needing some advice with regard to boots and pants for offroad. The offroad here is mostly rainforest type environment so hot , humid, stream crossings etc. temps range from 50'F ( 10'C) in winter to 104'F (40'C) in summer. I'm planning on an MX style helmet ( don't want to get my road shoei all mudded up )
For this type of offroad I would assume I'd need a MX style pant ( non cotton - dries faster ) and a waterproof MX style boot ( though sizing is an issue - most companies don't make much in a euro 40 )
in short HELP!!!!

I've been very happy with my Kilm Mojave pants and jersey. The pants, are somewhat heavy (built to last!) so they can be hot when not moving, but once you get some air flow it's all good.
