Girlfriend test rode an '08 for about two hours of straight riding...said she loved the seat! Same seat on the '09. No issues.  Not so much on the XT I bought her.

My buddy has a Versys.
Recently we went on a 7-hour ride.

Stated that it put pressure on his Grundle and made his rear sore.

Either way after 8-hours anyone's rear will be a bit sensitive.

I was fairing ok on a 09' stock KLR seat.

I've done a little over 500 miles in one day without problems. This weekend will be a little over 730 miles round trip. We'll be splitting it in half over Saturday and Sunday.

Any recommendations for an upgrade to the seat? I know that Kawasaki offers an after market gel seat replacement, but I believe that it is lower that the stock seat. Anybody know of an after market seat that is available for the Versys?
Anybody have a seat redone by one of the national seat builders?
I need a seat that doesn't slop forward toward the fuel tank. I prefer a level seating surface.
Thanks for any and all replies! WOW!

Take a ride to Hollister and visit Corbin.  You can call them make an appointment and be in and out in 4 hours with a seat that fits the way you want.  And lunch is on them.  thumb
