My 07 developed a small leak at the left rear side panel tab last week. I just mentioned it to the Service manager at Talladega Cycle Sales (shameless plug) and he told me to bring it in for a rust & damage inspection and he'd contact Kawasaki.
Turns out fuel tanks are covered by a 5yr 3800 mile emissions warranty.
I have over 41,000 miles on the bike so I didn't expect anything to happen, but worth a shot anyway.
The Service manager called this morning to tell me Kawi would replace the tank.... :>buggy... The only thing he could figure was I had bought an extended warranty on the bike and never used it.
so their giving back some love.
Meanwhile, I had ordered an IMS 6.6 gal. tank because I didn't expect a replacement would happen, so I may have a brand new silver "classic" tank for sale soon.
Think I'll head to Georgia and pick up some lottery tickets.
