oh pineknot..LOL better stick to those maple leaf undies on your avatar  poke ..
I have pretty much given up on buying anything south that requires shipping and only purchase what can be "physically" picked up when visiting our friends to the south.
It wouldn't  be so bad if everyone lived in a bubble and didn't know the great prices our southern neighbors enjoy along with a pile of free shipping. For years it was blamed on the exchange rate... so now what?  here's the violin music...
I do want to point out however... that this is not limited to the states... Here in good old Canada i had to start using my employers purolator  account for work purchases that required shipping "inside Canada" due to Canadian vendors "ballooning" shipping costs to help support their companies bottom line.,,, as the "shipping and handling" words are very loosey goosey to manipulate $$$ numbers with.
Maybe someday we will do business as one big family..... sadly ..i don't think me or my  KLR will live long enough to see it...

I guess you could become the 51st state of the US.  We would save a bundle in shipping and border guards.   ROTFL

With our economy the way it is maybe we should do it the other way around and become a canadian Provence.

Luckly there is a bike parts dealer that I buy everything I can from, his prices are always  lower than i can find online. He usually gets stuff in 3-4 days,so no long wait. I'd like to see the Canadian $ down around $.90 for the economy, but not if i'm buying.

Yarmouth, NS, How are things going without the ferry. I have been there several times on my motorcycle and took the " long way around" to get there but took the ferry, Bluenose,  back to Bar Harbor. I hope the local economy hasn't suffered too much since its' demise. I bought some nice Irish woolen clothes at a store there while the international gathering of the clan was going on and watching a parade with Pipers and such going down the main street in town. It was really neat.  clap

Take care, Mike

Between that and the fishing industry, thing aren't great but times are tough all over. I don't work in either but it still slows things down. The current NDP gov we got stuck with the last election seems to only be worried about the city,at the expense of the rural areas

Well, it all evens out.  We 'gun guys' can only look at Marstar's offerings in Canada and drool.  Y'all still get some cool 'loud toys' we cannot.
