Here's the Alaska Leather sheepskin. Its a dualsport regular length, not the full length. Natural color(not died), dark(brown).

Works great with the Seat Concepts dished seat.(fits my short legs)

Man I love the look bro!   Makes my gray sheep look BOOORING!  That's funny !
Glad yer lik'n the Seat concepts and the skin  Awesome  Funny thing with my modified S Concepts... it is MORE comfortable withOUT the skin???!  Hmmmmm...  I know it sounds CRAZY because it makes all my other seat Soooo much betta... but on the way to FLA and back I ended up putting the skin in the side case.   I figure it must be do to me narrowing up the SC foam soo much?  But after 4,000mi  I deffinately came to the conclusion that it was better without.  I'd be curious to see if you'd do a test and see what you find out,  probably need a good 250mi jog to get the feel... If yours is still better with the skin then I can figure it's just me or my modded foam.  I'm playing with the Rick mayer right now and it's deff better with the skin  especially after 250mi.

Yes, it's the one from Walmart - works OK, went ahead and replaced it with a Seat Concepts which made a big difference

This is my first post here. I picked up a lightly used red KLR last year and promptly painted it flat black... Here it is!

I got to play with a diesel in Afghanistan, and gave some thought to collecting the necessary parts to get the fairing/ handlebars/ etc. looking right, then hit it with desert cammoflauge, but then I realized I have no desire to relive any part of what I was up to over there. Flat black for me, thanks!

Not I just need you all to mull over selling those functional used aftermarket bits you have sitting around!  Happy!

Welcome jurgenk.

Thank you... as you can see, I have been lurking for quite a time soaking up the excellent information that this place provides and I thought it best to actually contribute something.

It sure is a sharp looking bike. I like the smaller front cowl look myself, even have a KLR250 cowl I mount up sometimes, but have since moved back to the A model full cowl with the Wheatwacker mod like gunny has. thumb

Well, here is my KLR, it has some updates, the new fairing (that Jettn Jim send me) with the stock windshield, most of the plastic are now black, new SS lines for front and rear, barkbusters, 12V outlet, Denali gen 1 lights, PIAA horn. That is new stuff, same old performance and feeling. I hope I can even up the colors, but for now I just want to ride it, maybe next winter I will do what ever is missing along with the 685 kit or IMS tank.

What I have on the self is the foam for replacing the current one. I will do that this week.

here's my old thumper, 2003 with 35K on it. No blue smoke from the can, just from the tires... The farkle list is too long, but consists of the usual suspects. Not trying to reinvent the wheel, just having fun with it is all... I ride it hard and year round.

Cheers,

Phil

bit of a change, went with the supermoto thing for a bit. Kept everything to revert back to dirt later.
