So I just joined here, figured I'd share what I came across today. I have a 94 KLR 250 and a couple days ago the front brake caliper ceased up. While riding. It sucked. So after scoring a used caliper for 25 bucks I spent 5 hours fighting the brake system to bleed properly. Apparently, the stock master cylinder doesn't have enough umph to push fresh fluid through the lines. My vacuum bleeder wasn't even working. So I took of the MC and threw it to the side. Just happen to have a Master of a 2005 KFX400 quad sitting in the shop. It swapped perfectly. Literally bolts right onto 7/8 bars and uses the same micro switch setup for the brake light. And on the plus side it's much bigger resovoir and larger bore cylinder since it has to provide enough force for two front wheels on a rather heavy quad. It only took 10mins to bolt it up and bleed it by just squeezing the level and popping the bleeder about five times. Lastly, the brakes feel way less mushy and it seems stop a decent bit better.
