Hey guys, been looking around the site for a bit lately and thought I'd say gidday.
I bough a new 2012 klr 650 a few months back and slowly been adding bits and pieces to it. I've always been into bigger road bikes (750cc and 1000cc) so its been a bit of a change of pace for me. Much more enjoyable though
So far I've done the 22c mod, opened up the air box and a big gun evo slip on, 12 volt outlet, some dunlop 606's, and soft panniers.
And am waiting on delivery of happy trail nerf bars, double bubble tinted screen, k n filter, skid plate and hwy pegs and wolf an fender bag. Can't wait for them to get here.
Hopefully will post some pics after I get the stuff fitted up
Cheers
Mikey

G'day Mikey,
fwiw I wouldn't bother with that K&N filter. Get yourself a decent brand foam filter and keep it clean and oiled. Nice ride...

Well, it been a while since ive been on the forum.. work has been flat out..
I did a trip to fraser Island on the klr.. Rode from Brissie to ngkala rocks in one hit... WOW!!! I never thought my ass could get that sore..
Was a great ride though, the ride up there was low tide the whole way but wasnt so lucky on the way back.. Its 120km from hook point to ngkala rocks and took me around 4hrs to ride back at hight tide..
I got some go pro vids which I will try and post up soon..
A few new mods happening to the klr atm..
After the last few rides a realise i NEED a better seat. So I ordered a saddleman adventure seat.. A litle pricey but Ive got a trip in may from brisbane to camerons corner and figure i'll need something somfy..
Here is the link for the seat if anyone is keen.
http://compare.ebay.com.au/like/230896341163?ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes
.
Also waiting on a 16 tooth front sprocket to make the hwy riding a bit better.
And a 7.4kg rear spring from Top gun motorcycles to stiffen up the ass end for my weight and gear.
http://topgunmotorcycles.com/KLR_springs/klrsprings.html
.
Also mounted up some LED spotlights.
And thinking about ordering a adjustable touring screen from these guys..
http://www.madstad.com
Ive been researching them a bit and they seem to be a pretty awesome screen.. A little pricey but if it works as good as they say then i reckon it will be worth the dollars.
Will post some pics and vids soon..
