Picking up the new KLR on Friday.  Having looked at it I believe that the factory pegs mount differently than the previous model.  Anybody found steel, non-rubberized pegs for the new KLR yet?

Mounts seem to be the same but the pegs them selves have been changed. Here's a pic from Hondo's review.

Aftermarket pegs should be the same as previous models. Notice the change in the brake pedal? Looks like someone was unhappy.

I ordered some IMS Super Stock pegs with the offset for an 07, and they fit right on!
Feel good too!  Like my feet are getting a nice massage...  thumb

If you want to save money go to Bike Bandit OEM parts.Look up a 1995 DR 650 Suzuki and order the pegs and springs.Use your original pins.Less than $30 total and fit perfect and work great.

I was thinking of doing that, but I went with the HEAVY DUTY, STAINLESS STEEL, since I'm not a lightweight, and didn't like the thought of me being someplace and not being able to rest my foot on something.  I plan on allot of standing on the pegs. Then again, that's just me.  thumb

Hey hurricane, I ordered the DR 650 pegs, pins and springs, drilled out my mounts for the larger pins, but couldn't get the springs to work.  Did you get the DR650 springs to fit inteh KLR mounts?  If so how?  Got a pic?

got these ones made up by a local vendor in Pretoria - South Africa
work like a bomb
the left one broke after about 3 months of continual standing,  and the same day I notified the guy via e-mail.
not 3 hours later he was at my office in person to swap them both out for a new set which he fitted himself.
sandbasted stainless steel
springs from a KDX cut to fit
cost:R390  --  less than $50.
