Sad I actually dropped Spirit today.
I just got home and I was about to park her next to the house when my front tire hit the paint can (which I shouldn't have left lying about) I was going real slow yet getting my front tire jarred to the left made the bike fall to the right and of course as I can merely reach the ground as it is, there is a dip to the right next to the house so I had no footing. When I finally did the bike was leaning over too far for me to hold her up. At least I gently let her down and turned her off. I tried lifting her on my own but no luck, no footing in the slippery grass and gravel. My neighbor was home (young guy who also rides bikes) and I asked him for help. He rightened the bike as if she weighed nothing! So not fair!!!!  Waaaaa!
Nothing was damaged though  Happy!

Glad you and your baby (and nice paint job) weren't hurt...but where are the pics?
Haven't seen the 'finished' product, unless I've missed something.
And I've done the same type of thing myself...cost me a brake lever (before the guards)...and still needed some 'assistance' to right the beast....
Be careful out there.....

^^^ Thank you sir...

What Kind of Race, Harescramble or Enduro?

Its a harescramble in Bridgeton IN this Sunday. Midwest Cross Country Racing is putting it on.

Cool! Keep us posted on how it goes  thumb I rode mine in a "Family Enduro" a couple years back and it was a blast. I wasn't fast, but it sure was fun.  That's funny !

There is one pic on my project log page. More will surely follow, but with a packed up bike and beautiful scenery in the back ground

Put 120 or so miles on it enjoying my day off. Went out and hit the roads then came across a dirt road. It was part of NJ coastal heritage trail. Having fun on dirt road not paying attention to skies, it started to rain so I started home. Lucky the rain stopped I wasn't prepared for rain. Got home and did an oil swap no filter, used 10 % Lucas oil stabilizer I love that stuff. I could tell difference right away. The bike only has 1300 on it. I did first oil change w Lucas like 200 miles on it, bike was great. Then dealer did oil change at 600 miles w out Lucas. I could tell when I rode it away, but I tried to give it a chance. I'm so happy I put Lucas back in her. I love my bike.

Well, it was this past weekend but rode to, raced, and rode home in my first Cross Country Hare Scramble. Most intense experience of my life.  Awesome

Yeah, not bad for a welding hood, stock headlight bulb, led brake light, old stock turn signal housings, RTV silicone, pop rivets, and zip ties.  naughty

I think I should post this "mod" up in the Macguyerisms thread for sure. Freak'n hilarious but actually looks bad ass and I think there's potential for a proper model.

I installed Eagle Mikes 1 1/2" handle bar risers, had to reroute 3 cables no prob.  I'm cruizin' Also added the Thermo-Bob. It went in just like the directions said. I had zero problems and is preforming as advertised. Looks like its running around 200*.  wings I am trying Engine Ice for coolant, I heard and read some good stuff on it but time will tell.

I haven't done a lot of changes to my '08 but, I will say the ones I've done have made it better. NEXT!!

Welllllll let's see.... this week new LeoVince slip on, new 606's, new front brakes, adjusted/checked the valves, swapped on a 16 tooth primary, cleaned the Uni filter, did an oil w/filter change...twice, swapped wind screens, new tool tube plug, rejetted the main, then............................................... I'm whipped !

Helped NomadGal to: Pull engine, swap front tire, new front brakes, pull and installed chain, redid some wiring, new grips, new hand guards, new throttle lock, new throttle cables,  new 2" Rox anti-vibration risers, new mirrors, put on my old Lowering links-raised forks an inch, cleaned and regreased all swingarm and linkage bearings, new rear wheel bearings, new Uni filter and cage, changed oil and filter-twice, removed center stand, adjusted valves, re-installed the engine (wasn't blown afterall.. just needed some Magic!^)-   Pulled the cover and Rotor, then readjusted her Doo's torsion spring for better chain tension, cleaned and tweaked her timing chain auto adjuster for better chain tension, pulled clutch cover cleaned and checked screen, threw in an inline fuel filter, cleaned the carb and pulled out the idle screw plug, straightened out exhaust, misc new bolts and touches... etc.
I'm sure I forgot a few things.... but in any event not exactly sitt'n around on our thumbs LOL  WTF?

Catch ya later... Cheers!
Jim
